  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Use fresh ginger for best flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Steamed rice for serving Serve over a bed of steaming rice.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar, cooking until everything is well combined and heated through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve over steamed rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the beef cool completely before storing. Place it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It also freezes well for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat in a skillet.
