Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1 whole whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Main Ingredients
  • 200 grams glass noodles Soaked in warm water
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 cup water
For Garnish
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions

Method
 

Marination
  1. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, gochugaru, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
Noodle Preparation
  1. Soak the glass noodles in warm water for about 30 minutes, then drain.
Cooking
  1. In a large pot, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and sauté until lightly browned.
  2. Add onions, carrots, and potatoes to the pot, cooking for a few minutes.
  3. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer, covered, for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender.
  4. Add the soaked glass noodles to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Adjust spice level by adding more or less gochugaru. You can add more vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers for extra nutrition and flavor.
