Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; bring to a simmer.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce.
Layering and Baking
- Spread half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Layer the remaining spaghetti mixture, then add the rest of the cheeses on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve hot with a side salad and garlic bread. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes.
