Ingredients

For the pizza
  • 1 piece Pizza dough You can use store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cups Cooked chicken breast Shredded or chopped.
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Plus 2 tablespoons for coating the chicken.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 piece Red onion Sliced.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro Chopped, for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For brushing the crust.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Brush the edges with olive oil.
  4. Shred or chop the cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Toss the chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce until they are well coated.
  5. Spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
Topping
  1. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the BBQ sauce.
  2. Distribute the BBQ chicken pieces and sliced red onions evenly over the cheese.
  3. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  2. Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately sprinkle fresh cilantro on top before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, experiment with different types of cheese like cheddar or gouda. You can also add toppings such as bell peppers, corn, or jalapeños to enhance the pizza. For a crispy crust, pre-bake the dough for a few minutes before adding toppings.
