Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce Savory base for the marinade.
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger Fresh ginger adds flavor.
Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds Chicken thighs The main protein for the dish.
  • 2 cups Cooked rice To serve on the side.
  • 2 cups Fresh salad A refreshing side.
  • 1 cup Grilled pineapple A sweet complement to the chicken.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and grated ginger to create a marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the marinade, cover, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Grill the chicken thighs for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Notes

For more flavor, let the chicken marinate longer—up to 2 hours works great. If you like a bit of spice, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. Make sure your grill is hot before adding the chicken; this helps create nice grill marks and keeps the chicken juicy.
