  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
For Garnish
  • Green onions, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, garlic, and ginger.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the diced chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
  2. Pour the sauce over the chicken and bring to a simmer.
  3. Cook for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
Serving
  1. Serve Bourbon Chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the chicken; it should be juicy and tender. You can adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more or less brown sugar. Feel free to include your favorite vegetables such as bell peppers or broccoli for added nutrition and color.
