  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh broccoli is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute other cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, broccoli florets, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and milk until well combined.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot as a main dish or a side dish. Pairs well with grilled chicken or fish and a green salad. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
