  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or rotini) Must be cooked before assembly.
  • 1 cup cream cheese Softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese More cheese can be added for a richer flavor.
  • 1/2 cup milk Adjust for desired creaminess.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Optional, for topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cooked chicken, cooked bacon, and cooked pasta.
  3. In another bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the cheese mixture over the chicken and pasta, and stir until everything is well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  6. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Serve the casserole warm right from the oven. It's great on its own or paired with a side salad or steamed vegetables.
Storage
  1. To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely. Place it in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  2. You can also freeze it for longer storage; just wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil before placing it in the freezer.

Notes

You can make this dish vegetarian by using sautéed mushrooms or additional vegetables instead of chicken and bacon. Feel free to add your favorite veggies like spinach or broccoli for added nutrition.
