  • 1 cup creamy ranch dressing Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your choice; pepper jack for a spicy twist.
  • 1 onion, chopped Adds flavor.
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped Any color works.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet or crockpot, combine the sliced smoked sausage, diced potatoes, chopped onion, and bell pepper.
  2. Pour the creamy ranch dressing over the mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 6-8 hours in the slow cooker, or simmer on the stove over medium heat until the potatoes are tender.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheese during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes
