Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
  • 12 oz penne pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce Increase for a creamier texture if desired.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or milk.
Seasonings and Toppings
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked penne, Alfredo sauce, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese and a quarter of the Parmesan cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  6. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely. Place it in an airtight container and refrigerate. It will last for about 3-4 days in the fridge. You can reheat it in the oven or microwave when ready to enjoy. Consider adding steamed broccoli or spinach for extra flavor.
