Main Ingredients
  • 1 loaf French bread Can substitute with Italian or whole wheat bread.
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Leftover chicken works great.
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped Make sure it's fully cooked.
  • 1 cup ranch dressing Can substitute with blue cheese dressing.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Can add more for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the inside to make room for the filling.
Filling
  1. In a bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, ranch dressing, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until well combined.
Assembly & Baking
  1. Fill the hollowed-out French bread with the chicken mixture.
  2. Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm. Pairs well with a side salad or dipping sauces like ranch or BBQ. To store leftovers, wrap the stuffed bread in plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for about 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
