Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and brown on both sides. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are soft.
- Pour in the Marsala wine and bring it to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet when browning the chicken for a nice golden crust. For extra flavor, let the Marsala wine simmer a bit longer before adding the cream. This dish pairs well with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
