Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Use fresh mushrooms for the best taste.
  • 1 cup Marsala wine You can use white wine or chicken broth as a substitute.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and brown on both sides. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are soft.
  5. Pour in the Marsala wine and bring it to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet when browning the chicken for a nice golden crust. For extra flavor, let the Marsala wine simmer a bit longer before adding the cream. This dish pairs well with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
