  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken Rotisserie chicken can be used for convenience.
  • 1 cup crispy bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese Ensure it is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Divided into two portions for mixing and topping.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Chopped green onions for garnish Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, and milk until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, chopped bacon, garlic powder, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve hot.

Notes

You can serve with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables. Also tastes great with garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
