  • 1/2 cup honey Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish Sliced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  3. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours before cooking. You can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli in the slow cooker during the last hour of cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months.
