- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
Serving
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours before cooking. You can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli in the slow cooker during the last hour of cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months.
