Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef (or mix with pork/turkey) Use lean ground beef for best results.
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free) Breadcrumbs help bind the meatloaf.
  • 2 pieces eggs Acts as a binder for the meatloaf.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic enhances flavor.
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Use fresh for better texture and taste.
  • ½ cup milk Adds moisture to the meatloaf.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For a fresh flavor.
  • 1 tsp dried oregano Provides aromatic flavor.
  • Salt & pepper to taste Season according to preference.
  • Optional glaze: garlic butter or marinara sauce For added flavor during baking.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, Parmesan, milk, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Shaping
  1. Transfer mixture to a parchment-lined loaf pan or shape freehand on a baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45–55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  2. Optional: Brush with garlic butter or marinara during the last 10 minutes of baking.
Resting
  1. Let loaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to retain juiciness.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for best flavor, especially garlic and parsley. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender. For a crispy top, consider broiling for a few minutes after baking. You can add vegetables like bell peppers or onions for more flavor and nutrition.
