Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk For marinating chicken
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the chicken breasts into donut shapes.
  2. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
Glazing
  1. In a separate bowl, mix maple syrup with powdered sugar.
  2. Dip the fried chicken donuts in the glaze.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm. Enjoy with fresh fruit or a crisp salad. Drizzle with extra maple syrup for added sweetness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat before serving.
