- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat and place slices of cheese on top to melt.
- Toast the hoagie rolls.
- Fill each hoagie roll with the beef and cheese mixture, and serve hot.
Notes
Serve with a side of fries or a simple salad. Add hot sauce or your favorite condiment for extra spice. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
