  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls Toast before serving.
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese Provolone or mozzarella can be used as alternatives.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Seasoning

  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat and place slices of cheese on top to melt.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls.
  6. Fill each hoagie roll with the beef and cheese mixture, and serve hot.

Notes
