Ingredients
  

Meat Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp olive oil For sautéing
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Pita Pockets
  • 4 pita pockets Warm before serving
Fresh Toppings
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce Can use store-bought

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned.
Preparing Pita Pockets
  1. While the beef is cooking, warm the pita pockets in the oven or microwave.
Assembling the Pitas
  1. Once cooked, fill each pita pocket with the beef mixture, followed by shredded lettuce, diced tomato, diced cucumber, and crumbled feta cheese.
  2. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce before serving.
