  • 6 pieces brioche hamburger buns For serving, toast for best results

Method

Preparation
  1. Brown the lean ground beef in a hot pan. Once browned, remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the diced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until they are browned.
Cooking
  1. In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, cornstarch, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour the mixture into the sautéed veggies and let it simmer until it thickens.
  3. Return the browned beef to the pan and mix well with the sauce and veggies.
  4. Turn off the heat and stir in the provolone cheese until it melts.
Serving
  1. Butter and toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
  2. Fill the toasted buns with the cheesy beef mixture and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Don't overcook the ground beef; just brown it to keep a nice texture. Experiment with different types of cheese, like cheddar or mozzarella, if you want to switch things up. Toast the buns right before you serve to ensure they stay warm and crispy.
