  • 9 pieces Lasagna noodles No-boil lasagna noodles recommended
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese For creaminess and richness
  • 16 oz Mozzarella cheese Use shredded for easier layering
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese For topping and added flavor
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 lb Ground beef or sausage Can substitute with a vegetarian option
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning Enhances flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for better flavor
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brown the ground beef (or sausage) with chopped onions and garlic in a pan. Drain excess fat after cooking.
  2. In a slow cooker, layer marinara sauce, broken lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the browned meat mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with mozzarella on top.
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the layers.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for about 4-6 hours until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with fresh basil or more Parmesan cheese. Pair with a green salad and garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
