  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • to taste Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper adjust to spice preference
For the Macaroni Cheese
  • 8 ounces macaroni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter for adding creaminess

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden brown.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Pour this sauce over the chicken and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Cooking the Macaroni
  1. Meanwhile, cook macaroni pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Drain and return to the pot.
  3. Add butter to macaroni and stir until melted.

Notes

Serve the chicken with macaroni cheese on the side. Drizzle extra sauce from the baking dish over the chicken for more flavor. Pair with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
