  • 400 g Spam, sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Oil for frying Ensure oil is hot enough before frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add cold water to create a smooth batter.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Dip each slice of Spam into the batter to coat.
  2. Carefully place the battered Spam slices into the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Notes

Serve hot with chips and peas. Can be reheated in an oven or a pan.
