Ingredients
  

For the Sliders
  • 2 cups shredded BBQ chicken Use homemade or store-bought BBQ chicken.
  • 8 slices Gouda cheese Can substitute with cheddar or pepper jack.
  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls Alternatively, use sesame seed or potato rolls.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion For enhanced flavor, sauté the onion before mixing.
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro Optional; can be replaced with parsley.
  • 1/4 cup garlic-herb butter Add herbs like parsley or thyme for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the BBQ chicken and mix it with chopped onion and cilantro.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
Assembly
  1. On the bottom half of the rolls, layer the BBQ chicken mixture and top with slices of Gouda cheese.
  2. Place the top half of the rolls on and brush the garlic-herb butter on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
  2. Serve warm.

Notes

These sliders pair well with coleslaw, potato chips, or a fresh salad. Offering extra BBQ sauce on the side enhances flavor for those who enjoy extra sauce.
