Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup steamed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and let simmer for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the chicken is coated in the sauce.
  4. Remove from heat and slice the chicken.
  5. Serve over cooked rice or noodles, topped with steamed vegetables and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for a couple of hours before cooking. You can substitute other proteins like tofu, beef, or shrimp. Add snap peas or bell peppers for extra color and crunch.
